Dr. Zamalis (Dr. Z) was born in France and is half-French, half-Lebanese. When she was 3 years old, her family moved to Houston, Texas, where Carla grew up. She attended Texas A&M University for 8 years, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences in December 2018 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023. After her family relocated to Northern Nevada, Carla fell in love with the area and decided to follow. Her interests include surgery, feline medicine, endocrinology, and homeopathic medicine. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, baking, and being outdoors any chance she gets. She has a German Shepherd named Ronin and 2 cats, Jean Claude, and Cleopatra.
