Meet Our Docotrs

Dr_Cameron.jpgDr. Cameron Ross, Spent his younger years growing up in Nebraska and Iowa. He graduated from the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary medicine in 1993. He graduated at the top of his class and received awards in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Cameron has special interests including internal medicine, surgery, ultrasonography, reproduction, and exotics. He regularly attends continuing education seminars in these areas of interest. His wife Monica, daughter Elsa, and twins Parker and Amelia round out the family. Their pets include a Yellow Lab, Finn; Boston terrier, Bella; and Cat, Elvis. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, fishing and hiking.


Dr_Lance.jpgDr. Lance Gorrindo,  grew up here in the Carson Valley, graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in biochemistry, and earned his DVM from Colorado State University at Fort Collins. Graduating first in his class, Lance also earned the Radiology Award. Lance and his wife have a daughter, Savannah, a son on the way three dogs Tyler, Kaya, and Brooklyn, three cats and a horse. In his free time Lance enjoys fishing, hiking, and traveling. In his spare time, Lance enjoys taking his dogs on hikes, fly fishing, and camping. Lance's rigorous training in radiology contributes a great deal to our hospital.

 


DrTalbot.jpgDr. Steve Talbot was born in Bishop, California. He attended veterinary school at the University of California, Davis. After graduating in 1965 he went to work at the Berkeley Humane Society Veterinary Clinic for one year. He has worked at Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital since 1966, when he and Dr. Cornforth treated mostly livestock and some small animals. The valley and the practice have changed a great deal over the years. He now sees primarily dogs and cats. He and his wife, Jill Derby, have raised their two children here in Minden. Dr. Steve has two cats and several fish at home. One of Dr. Steve's favorite activities is hiking "backyard" near Job's Peak/Kingsbury area. He also enjoys fishing, camping and skiing. Dr. Steve has completed many leadership and growth seminars. He attends the Wild West Veterinary Conference in Reno, ACVIM (Internal Medicine), and Veterinary Post-Graduate Institute continuing education seminars. His special interests in veterinary medicine include surgery and medicine as well as nutrition.


Dr_Bob.jpgDr. Bob Gorrindo went to veterinary school at the University of California, Davis. He came to the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital in August of 1973. He raised his four children in the Carson Valley. Dr. Bob's life outside work includes biking (he successfully completed five mountain passes in the Death Ride in 1995). He ran the San Francisco Marathon during his previous running years. He also loves to play golf and enjoys travel when the time allows. Dr. Bob has one dog (a Golden Retriever) and two cats at home. He enjoys attending the ACVIM (Internal Medicine) continuing education seminar each year. His veterinary special interests include surgery and medicine of dogs and cats as well as helping various working dog organizations. Dr. Bob treats El Dorado County Police Dog "Tracker", the Douglas County Narcotics Dogs, contributes to www.K9tactics.com - a web page for working dogs, wrote a chapter on medicine for a book on police dog tactics, and treats "WOOF" search and rescue dogs. Dr. Bob put together and donated first aid kits for the Douglas County Narcotics Dogs and donates all veterinary services required for the K9 police dogs.


drjustin.pngDr. Justin Pitts grew up in Missouri and received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Southwest Baptist University. He went on to attend Southwest Missouri State University and the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri, Columbia receiving his Veterinary degree in 1994. Following graduation, he joined a small animal hospital in Las Vegas, NV where he held a senior associate position for 14 years. In 2008, he and his family moved to the Carson Valley to join the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital team. Justin and his wife have two children and Dakota the family dog. In his free time, he enjoys DIY projects, camping and other outdoor activities. He attends the Western States Veterinary Conference continuing education seminars and his special interest in veterinary medicine include surgery, internal medicine, general ultrasound and echocardiography.

Dr. Erika Little graduated from Kansas State University in 2001. She then went on to complete a surgical residency at Auburn University , and is a board certified large animal surgeon.  In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog, Janie (a labrador mix) and spending time with her husband (Dr. Brady Little) and her horses. Dr. Little also enjoys traveling, scuba diving and skiing when time permits.

 

 

 

 

 


P9010013.JPGDr. Brady Little was born in Omaha Nebraska. He received his undergraduatedegree from the University of Lincoln. Dr. Brady Little attended Kansas State Veterinary School and graduated in 2003. In his spare time he enjoys to go horseback riding, fishing, and hiking. He and his Wife Erika have two horses, chickens, and a dog, Janie.
